Talk to your Sprouse agent to determine if you need to increase your homeowner’s insurance. Does your current policy cover the cost of the improvements? If your home is damaged during the renovation, would your policy cover the cost? Once the improvements are completed, will the increase value of your home warrant extra coverage? Let us help you look at the options and ensure that you have the coverage you need.
Finding the right contractor can be tricky. Be sure to ask about their insurance along with the other project questions you might have. Depending on the type of worker you employ, Sprouse can help determine if you need any additional coverage to keep you safe. If your contractor plans to hire additional laborers or sub-contractors, the contractor must provide Workers Compensation coverage. Always ask for written proof of insurance and if something doesn’t seem right, ask questions and do your research.
Sprouse offers Contractors Insurance, so we are familiar with both home owners policies and contractors’ policies and can make sure everyone has the coverage they need!
